Listening: Crash Into Me-Dave Matthews Band Egad! I live in the desert! And we’ve gotten two days off from school THIS WEEK because of heavy snow! Mind you, it’s not what most people would consider “heavy,” but to New Mexico, the most snow we get in the mountains is about 6 inches on average at one time. And that’s what we got in the flatlands. In the mountains a few minutes away they got TWO FEET of snow. And the drifts got up to three and a half feet. Holy crap!! Here’s my poor house:
Cacti covered in snow sounds like quite an oxymoron to me. I took it with my cell phone so the lighting is not very good. But that’s ok. It looks blue. Hah. I put my digital copy of Star Trek on my iPod. We all now know what April’s going to be doing during Chemistry. Anyway. All this snow is getting me in the mood for Christmas and whatnot. I’m excited. I’m not really doing anything for Christmas, just staying at home with my family. What are your plans?? Oh, and this is a new layout in case you haven’t figured out already. And Miley Cyrus got a tattoo. Hmm. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Not that I have anything against 17-year-olds to get tattoos, because I would love a few. But seriously. She’s a Disney girl. She has little 7 and 8 year olds looking up to her. I don’t know. And this book I’m reading, The Agony and The Ecstasy, you really should read it. I highly recommend it to everybody. It’s a biographical novel about Michelangelo. It’s a pretty thick book, so it might take you a while. But even if you’re not a history nerd, it’s really good. It tells all about Italy back in Michelangelo’s time. And they explain a lot about the Medici family, who were like royalty back in the Renaissance era. So yes, anyone who likes reading should definately check that book out. Questions Listening: Call Me When You’re Sober-Evanescence Man, whoever said Americans don’t have any money this year didn’t see at least 20 people roll out of Best Buy yesterday with flat screen TVs! Seriously, when I was walking into the store at 6:30 am, just in that five minutes of trying to get a shopping cart with my aunt, I saw five or six people with TVs or home theater systems in their carts. Egad! I spent 45 minutes in line at Best Buy yesterday morning. The line wrapped all the way around the store in a huge loop. D= The people behind me in the line said they’d been shopping since 3 AM! And I thought I was bad getting up at 5:30 to drive an hour for shopping!! But people were definately spending money. But I shouldn’t say anything. I spent almost $300. I bought my dad a leather wallet from Macy’s, my mom a shirt and some fuzzy slipper-socks from Old Navy, my grandma some perfume, and two tanks tops from American Eagle, fleece pants from Hollister, and a wallet from Guess for myself. Oh, and some perfume and lotion from Bath and Body Works. So my Christmas shopping is taken care of. And also some new stuff for myself. I think I’m catching a cold. D= Oh no. And get this: my Nutcracker recital is in three weeks. We only have two weeks left to practice and we’re in the theater for “Hell Week” where we practice every night for 2 1/2-3 hours until the Friday night opening. Dang, I’m nervous. I might take pictures and post them up here. In regards to the site, I’m making a new layout that will hopefully be up tomorrow? I’m also going to try and get some content up, like icons, brushes, etc. Let’s all cross our fingers. 4 Comments Filed Under: Uncategorized Listening:Just the Girl -Click 5 Mmmmmmmm. Thanksgiving is this week! I have this entire week off of school. Yeah, baby. I’m excited to stuff myself on Thursday! Hehehe. I amd going to go see Lord of the Dance tonight at the Spencer Theatre in Alto, New Mexico. It’s a super fancy theater, so I’m pretty excited. I saw Riverdance a few years ago and freakin LOVED it, so Lord of the Dance should be super good, as well. Woot woot. And I saw New Moon on Friday night! HOLY CRAP It was awesome. It was so much more like the book than Twilight was. Ohmygod. But the theater was packed. For the midnight premiere, which I didn’t go to, was showing it on 6 six screens and they were all sold out. And Friday night when I went, they were playing it on four screens and they were all sold out. I got my tickets a week early, though, thank GOODNESS! But yes. I loved it. Man. It was awesome. Anybody else see it? Tell me what you thought!!! I’m going to Las Cruces and El Paso on Black Friday for shopping. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everybody! Eat tons of turkey!!! « Previous Page — « Previous entries« Previous Page — • Next entries » — Next Page » |
